The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move steel, steel parts, steel frames through the production process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist supervisors with expediting work through manufacturing process
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials using a forklift or other material moving equipment
- Ensure material is free of damage and report quality variances
- Maintain the facility’s equipment, building, grounds and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
- Conduct pre-shift inspection and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality teamwork
- Assist team members as directed
