This Forklift Operator plays an important role in the production process at Menasha Packaging. This position is responsible for supplying the machine centers with materials and removing any waste, in addition to other essential duties. Business needs may require hours to flex between 1st & 2nd shift so some flexibility is important. This position must be in compliance with plant, department, and OSHA regulations and procedures. The person must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and, communication skills.

• Load and unload trailers-bill as needed
• Supply machine centers with stock
• Remove/record waste from machine centers
• Organize warehouse-scan units and put into correct warehouse area
• Fill in for baler/bander responsibility as needed
• Remove/weigh scrap bales
• Change propane tanks as needed
• Operate electric charging station
• Each Shift to do daily forklift inspections
• Weekly pm’s (blow out entire forklift)
• Perform all other duties as requested by manager/supervisors

• This position may be required to work overtime
• The wage range for this position is $19.00 - $22.82. Wage is based on experience. Additional shift differential of $0.30 for 2nd shift.

Education Desired

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience Required

• Must have previous production driving experience, prefer at least 1 year
• Must have loading/unloading experience

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Previous experience moving bale packs and other corrugated material that is not palletized.
• Read a tape measure/ruler
• Good mathematical skills
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to learn radio frequency computer skills
• Ability to pass forklift driving test
• Ability to read

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit 7 or more hours
• Able to lift 65 lbs minimum on a daily basis
• Ability to wear a seatbelt
• Ability to bend and twist
• Ability to pass an eye exam
