Overview:
Shure is looking for a FPGA Engineer II to join their team and help contribute to the development of FPGA-based solutions for wireless products from concept through production. Working as part of a cross-functional team designing cutting-edge wireless audio technology, this position involves implementation, validation, and integration of FPGAs. As part of the FPGA design process this engineer will have the opportunity to integrate designs and subsystems on hardware for the next generation of wireless audio products.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and validate control, status, and peripheral interfaces.
  • Integrate subsystems and validate functionality using RTL simulation tools.
  • Integrate FPGA designs onto hardware and into production products.
  • Specify FPGA design constraints (pinouts, IO types, timing constraints, &c.).
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to define and integrate FPGA interfaces.
  • Execute FPGA toolchain (synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis) to produce bitstreams.
  • Advocate for automation and repeatability by leveraging scripting (e.g., python) and revision control (e.g., bitbucket, subversion).
  • Implement signal processing algorithms.
  • Integrate, capture, and analyze product telemetry from FPGAs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FPGA logic design and simulation/validation tools (e.g., Modelsim).
  • Experience with implementation tradeoffs to meet resource, processing and timing constraints.
  • Experience with Verilog/VHDL as well as Python
  • Experience with version control systems such as git
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing and communication concepts and implementation preferred
  • Familiarity with wireless systems
  • Comfortable with Linux environment
