We are a busy general and emergency small animal hospital looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist in beautiful Murfreesboro, TN. Flexible hours, great pay and benefits (including health insurance), and a great, fun working environment.

Customer service experience is required. Main duties include client interaction, medical records, answering phones, scheduling appointments, check-in / check-out of patients, and assisting coworkers as needed. Applicants with no experience will not be screened.

Responsibilities:

• Provide elevated customer service while being attentive to client & patient needs
• Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional telephone and email communication.
• Manage multi-line phone system.
• Schedule appointments and procedures.
• Monitor client flow from check-in to discharge, and process payment transactions
• Assist in cleaning the hospital, including but not limited to keeping reception desk area and lobby clean.
• Have the highest communication standards to relay appropriate information between clients and doctors and/or management.
• Other duties may arise be assigned from time to time

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong proficiency in computer literacy, navigation, and troubleshooting
• Must be comfortable utilizing the internet and programs, such as, Gmail, Google Calendar and web-based communication platforms. Must have the ability to quickly learn custom software
• Displays compassion, control and confidence in all aspects of the position
• Ability to multi-task using multiple computer tabs/platforms while engaging in conversation
• High attention to detail and accuracy
