The Position at DVCC: Full time front office – scheduler

This is not an entry level position – Must have experience in behavioral and/or medical health front or back office or similar experience.

Shift: Monday to Friday shift. You maybe be required to work until 6pm on some days and other days will be opening. Flexibility is a must. Overtime offered on occasion.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with scheduling, organized, on time, motivated, compassionate, dependable. You will be working with a team of counselors and psychiatric providers and telemedicine provider options. Staying engaged, motivated and remaining calm under “high traffic/busy” situations will be important. You will need to be skilled in all front office tasks of a mental health facility including: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, insurance verification, copay collection, referrals, working in an EMR system and multitasking. Did we mention you must enjoy being on the phone? Our patients, insurance companies and other businesses really like calling us.

You need to be technically savvy. Everything from fax, scan, copy, sending out referrals, receiving referrals and sending out labs electronically. You also need to know insurance (commercial, Medicare and some EAP’s), be familiar with looking up providers and able to send referrals under client plans. Once again, you must be comfortable being on the phone and reaching out to provider contacts and patients to schedule (again with the phone, it is a big part of the job).

This position is for a motivated individual ready to help our company grow and to keep up with the growth process. We are looking for a person who is dependable, motivated to lead and is on time to work. You must have a firm understanding about coming in this kind of work role and how to do basic tasks of front office work.
