Front Server (Part Time)

We are looking for an outstanding Front Server. If you are interested in working in a beautiful private country club with excellent service and people, then consider Big Canyon. Must be able to work part time including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness and appearance
• Having knowledge of a la carte menus, wines & spirits, reservations, upcoming events, and special requests
• Responding Member inquiries about food preparation, cocktails, courses, chef specialties while creating polite conversation
• Accurately recording and charging members' orders and providing information about selected menu items and dietary restrictions selections
• Preparing room for dining by polishing silver, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
• Adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Keeping kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression in the POS
• Maintaining table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses

Compensation

Starting pay for this position is $20 - 22/hour

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior club or hospitality experience preferred
• 1-2+ years of serving experience preferred
• Previous fine dining experience preferred
• Beginner knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Previous customer service experience required
• Basic knowledge of service styles and etiquette such as appropriate table settings, the order of service, & wine service
• Must have be able to quickly learn and adapt to our POS System
• Available to work on all holidays and weekends
• Ability to perform physical job duties such as carrying plates, moving small furniture, & carrying a full server tray
• Food Handler's Card
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Have knowledge of the food menu, daily specials, and wine menu
• Maintain a pleasant, polite manner as well as a neat and clean appearance
• Work cooperatively and professionally with other departments
• Possess a mature, professional demeanor to interact with staff and members
• Food Handler's Card
• Ability to be on one’s feet for long periods of time; ability to bend and reach when necessary
