The Role
We are looking for a Front Desk Host who will be a pioneer in reinventing the guest experience with high levels of customization and service beyond expectations. You will join an energetic and passionate team of ambassadors who are the face of Hyatt Centric Wall Street. In the role of Host on the Hotel's Front Desk, you will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to the Hotel's guests.

Day to Day Tasks

As the Front Desk Host, you will be providing the warmest of welcomes to our discerning guests. Your key duties in this role will include but not limited to:

  • Greet all guests at any time in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guest's name at every opportunity.
  • Centric “Hosts” act as Bellman, doorman, concierge, and runner.
  • Deliver any requested items to room once guest has checked in included but not limited to pillows, blankets, toiletries, microwaves.
  • Assist with the storage, arrival, and departure of guest luggage.
  • Print and run reports as requested.
  • Report and guest issues or complaints to Manger on Duty.
  • Communicate effectively with Guest Services who dispatch guest requests.
  • Maintain proper key control with master keys for outside vendors.
  • Work closely with security team and report any suspicious activity.
  • Track and Store all Guest Packages and Guest Mail.
  • Ability to move luggage carts and carry guest and packages (up to 50 lb).
  • Handling guests' arrival check ins and departure check outs, to create memorable and tailored experiences for all guests.
  • To actively upsell and cross sell hotel services and outlets.
  • To count money, verify amounts and issue receipts for payments received.

The successful Candidate will have

  • Previous Front Desk experience for a Luxury brand preferred.
  • Excellent communicator and able to connect with all levels in the business with the ability to motivate your colleagues.
  • Effective organizational skills: able to prioritize tasks and self-manage a workload.
  • Excellent personal presentation with a warm and welcoming personality, friendly, approachable, and professional.
  • Have a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience in using the program Opera.
  • A passion for going above and beyond to deliver an exceptional experience to our guests.
