The Front Office Manager oversees the Front Desk, Reservations, Bell, Valet and Concierge departments. He or she will also oversee Hotel Drover’s VIP guest experience and be the primary driver in the collection of future, present and past guest information in order to create Legendary experiences. He or she will provide confident leadership and support to a hardworking team to achieve service excellence. The successful candidate will be nurturing, display care and compassion, and have a sincere desire to develop the staff and obsess over our guests. This position requires consistent attention to detail and outstanding organizational, multitasking and computer skills to ensure flawless execution. Previous Front Office/Reservations leadership experience is required.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Embody the values + guiding principles of Hotel Drover.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand.
  • Provide direct supervision of Front Desk, Reservations, Concierge and VIP services departments.
  • Responsible for overall performance of pre-arrival and advance guest communication programs.
  • Oversees all guest amenity tracking and delivery in conjunction with IRD.
  • Conduct monthly guest feedback meetings with operations departments to evaluate and troubleshoot trending issues in service and facility areas as they arise.
  • Recruit, hire and train Front Office team in partnership with Director of Front Office.
  • Responsible for tracking of VIP and High Value guests.
  • Oversee VIP Guests during all phases of their guest experience – from pre arrival to post stay follow up.
  • Collaborate with Director of Front Office to develop new and unique guest experiences.
  • Oversee the arrival and departure experiences of guests; manage flow of front drive during high volume and group activity.
  • Develop and implement standards regarding welcome, amenity, escort and farewell for guests.
  • Responsible for auditing of Reservations and Front Office team.
  • Owner of guest advance communication program.
  • Provides support to marketing team to spearhead activations.
  • Answer the department telephone to respond quickly to requests from guests.
  • Provides afternoon and evening management presence.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems such as Opera, HotSOS etc.
  • Previous experience with Marriott’s MGS suite and Bonvoy programs.
  • Previous experience in hotel industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues without constant supervision.
  • Previous experience in similar Job role.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
  • The team member is required to perform all necessary duties of the job. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
