We are currently seeking a full charge bookkeeper to add to an established team of professionals for a prestigious brokerage firm in Scarsdale, NY. Candidates must be independent, and be able to multi-task. This is a full-time position reporting to the CFO and Office Manager of the Company. To perform well in this role, ideal candidates should possess the experience shown below. Duties include but are not limited to the following.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all of the daily operations of the accounting department including cash receipts, regular processing of accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, etc.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Process all customer, vendor and carrier payments by check, ACH and wire transfer.

SKILLS:

• The candidate must be computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Etc.).
• We prefer a candidate familiar (let alone well-versed) with the AMS360 account management system from Vertafore.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices and standards.
• High attention to detail.
