Full-Stack Java Engineer 

 

Prosoft is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Stack Java Engineer role with our enterprise client in Louisville, Kentucky. 

 

• This is a full-time, long-term contract position with no end date, with the ability to convert to a permanent role at the client 
• This position is open to local, or U.S. based remote candidates able to work an Eastern or Central Time Zone schedule

About the Role and You:

 

As a Full-Stack Java Engineer, you are a technical expert with experience in full-stack development for both web and responsive mobile applications. You are someone that is up for the challenge of working in an enterprise environment for an industry-leading, Fortune 100 company. You have experience working with a wide range of tools and technologies like Java, Microservices, Web APIs, TypeScript, JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, or React), and Node.js. You have a strong understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle, microservices architecture, security, development standards, best practices, CI/CD, testing, and performance. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be tasked with writing new code, testing and debugging, providing technical decision-making, and helping solve complex, enterprise-wide technical problems. 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

• The Full-Stack Java Engineer should be well-versed in modern development technologies
• Design and develop new applications, and features, and enhance existing applications
• Build comprehensive full-stack applications, keeping scalability and security in mind while adhering to best practices and modern development standards 
• Develop mobile responsive features and applications 
• Work collaboratively as part of an Agile Scrum team
• Work with Developers, Technical Leads, and Architects to implement new platforms and applications that solve complex business problems
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software as needed and maintain technical documentation

 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience working with technologies like Java, Microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, Web APIs, etc. for backend development 
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and at least one modern JS Framework like Vue.js, React, or Angular.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Node.js and GraphQL 
• Experience with Content Management (CMS) tools like Sitecore or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 
• Unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience with application security, authentication, authorization, etc.
• Experience with and understanding of W3C / Web Accessibility Standards
