Full-Time Lead Custodian Job at York College of Pennsylvania
Full-Time Lead Custodian Positions available immediately. Fulfill departmental objectives by leading and directing the work of a team of 3-10 (FTE) housekeeping staff in assigned building(s). Inspect the work of custodial staff to ensure quality control, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations. This function accounts for 15% of the lead's time. Remaining time spent performing custodial maintenance of York College's residential, administrative, dining, and support facilities in an assigned area. Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, public corridors, lobbies, offices, classrooms, locker-room facilities, and lounges to expected standards. Participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed. Facility Services staff are considered essential personnel and report during emergency and weather related situations.
Open positions are as follows:
1-F/T staff - 2nd shift 3:00p.m to 11:30p.m; Monday-Friday
Requirements:
Requires High School diploma; valid driver's license; 2-5 years' housekeeping/event setup experience preferred. Understanding and carrying out oral and written directions; working independently in the absence of direct supervision; establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships. Frequently lifting 50 pounds occasionally lifting or pushing 75 pounds. Employee needs to get help if lifting or moving objects over 50 pounds. Ability to operate various housekeeping equipment; and willingness to participate in on-call emergency rotation and work overtime as needed; and ability to work independently.
