Essential Job Duties
- Fuse plastic pipe
- Install gas lines/electric and/or telecommunications cables
- Locate utilities
- Work with Operators as spotter
- Identify pipe routes
- Align pipes in pipeline sections
- Dig trenches with trenching tools
- Slide pipe into trenches
- Grade trenches
- Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material
- Must pass Fusion Qualification tests annually
- Ability to operate and maintain power tools
- Ability to recognize and record pressure readings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Fusion experience required
- Must be willing to travel
- Class A CDL preferred
- Preferably some farming or construction experience
- Education in Fusing and/or Gas and Utilities construction preferred
- Experience fusing and installing gas mains and telecommunications cables preferred
- Trench safety and DOT jobsite safety training experience preferred
- Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 50+ pounds regularly
