The job duties of a general laborer vary. They may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. Maintains equipment inventory systems according to standard operating procedures. Responsible for general yard and shop cleanup in accordance with company standards, maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace.

Essential and Non-essential Job Responsibilities

• Inspect and document all incoming and outgoing equipment
• Assist with equipment demonstrations
• General yard and shop cleanup, maintain safe and hazard-free yard and facility
• All other miscellaneous duties as assigned within the department

• General knowledge of construction equipment
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of office equipment operations and PC skills

Education and Experience Requirements

• Construction equipment experience preferred
• Valid driver’s License

Working Condition/Physical Requirements

• The work environment is consistent of an office and facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop and may also include construction job site
• Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
• PPE must comply with site-specific requirements
• Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
