General Laborer Job at Nekoosa Coated Products
Purpose: To perform miscellaneous duties associated with the baler as well as support the Precision and Trimmer production needs. Perform miscellaneous duties as required. We have openings for both our Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa facilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Empty broke baskets and place all broke from basement floor into hogger
- Move bales from baler to storage area and load bale truck.
- Work with Inventory Control Coordinator to organize the loading/unloading of trucks.
- Unload delivery trucks (packaging, pallets & misc). Collect billing paperwork and packing slips and put in hanging folder by door #6.
- Monitor baler to ensure all wires is on bales.
- Empty stretchwrap broke gaylords and put through baler
- Support Precision and Trimmer production as needed
- Responsible for collecting broke and waste materials from coater, rewinders, sheeters, trimmer, and baler area.
- Remove empty pallets from converting and coater area and band up full cardboard pallets
- Convert waste material into bales
- Perform daily housekeeping
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required, including general cleanup.
- Know, understand and follow documented procedures.
- Abide by safety rules and practices.
- Operate tow motor and clamp truck
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to perform all job duties
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment as required
Work Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing facility and work schedules are rotating shifts. Safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes are required at all times in the plant facility.
