We are looking for a skilled team member to join our General Maintenance team at the Grand Canyon!
This position handles all maintenance calls and preventative maintenance from 3pm-11pm at the Grand Canyon.


This position earns $15.35 per hour and is eligible for dorm housing minutes from the rim of the canyon. Housing cost is only $40/paycheck!

Responsibilities:
  • Complete assigned maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion, thoroughness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Handle multiple general maintenance call outs and work orders, work independently, and perform trade call outs as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as related to the preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform trade functions such as electrical, plumbing, refrigeration/HVAC, basic boiler operation, and kitchen equipment repair.
  • Perform basic carpentry and painting duties as necessary.
  • Report maintenance problems in an accurate fashion that require trade-specific skill and attention.
  • Adhere to all safety, risk management, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment in carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Work second shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of experience in general building maintenance, or in trades such as electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to professionally and courteously interact with a broad cross-section of diverse guests.
  • Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Possess physical ability to complete assigned tasks, including entering confined space, ascending/descending ladder, and safely lifting up to one hundred.
