General Operations Manager Sitka Lighthouse LLC. Job at Sitka Lighthouse Co. Store
We are currently seeking an operations Manager for our retail store and daily lighthouse operations. This position will start seasonal (15 May-1 Oct) with the option to extend or work part time or virtually in the winter with flexible hours. The operations manager is required to work and complete their summer contract in Sitka.
There will be limited ability for vacations during the summer season and all travel must me mentioned pre-hiring.
The successful candidate will have extensive expertise working in a retail setting and customer service setting must have excellent communication skills and is comfortable both working with staff and interacting directly with customers & guests. The operations manager will oversee operations for the Sitka Lighthosue property and will complete reservation requests, invoicing, concierge services and day to day housekeeping operations. The operations manager will Be in charge of managing the housekeeping schedule and calendar.
The ideal candidate will also have training and experience in financial planning, cost analysis and inventory management, as well as an interest in expanding their professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and provide leadership for the store team.
- Develop associates to exceed customer service standards.
- Ensure that associates complete daily tasks and projects on time.
- Manage and lead the store team.
- Assist with administrative duties at the store level.
- Help create an open and welcoming environment for customers.
- Handle confidential information.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions.
