In March 2022, Crane announced that it will separate into two independent, publicly traded companies in early 2023. This role is part of Crane Company, a leading global provider of mission-critical, highly engineered products and solutions, with differentiated technology, respected brands, and leadership positions in the Aerospace & Electronics and Process Flow Technologies markets

We are looking for a data threat analyst professional to join the Crane Co. Global Information Security Team in supporting our Insider Threat Program. The ideal candidate will have a solid proficiency in data analytics with a focus on threat detection, behavioral analysis, and have a desire to work on interesting problems in a unique environment. Previous experience supporting security analytics, incident response, insider threat, or data privacy is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide business and data intelligence supporting threat analysis
  • Effectively participate in data governance and risk compliance plans
  • Analyze a variety of security tools to identify potential risk indicators
  • Identify and escalate incidents involving the potential threats against assets, data and systems
  • Collect and analyze metrics to support program objectives
  • Support security awareness and training efforts

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in data security related roles
  • Experience with endpoint, cloud, and network security tools
  • Experience with current trends and technologies supporting analysis and threat modeling
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, dashboarding and reporting
  • Prior experience supporting security teams
  • Familiarity with various financial, privacy, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Foundational level of knowledge and experience with administering enterprise-level Information Technology systems

Including networks, virtualization, cloud, operating systems, email, storage, etc.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, distributed team.
  • Commitment to security training and earning corresponding certifications.
  • Passion for solving complex problems
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule and track to deadlines
  • Required: Degree in a related field or at least 2 years relevant professional experience
  • Desired: Any technical certification in related work area
