The SUMMIT Marketing team is rapidly growing, and SL Green are looking for an experienced Global Marketing Manager to join its SUMMIT One Vanderbilt team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of innovative marketing campaigns to drive continued awareness and ticket sales for SUMMIT, as well as leading the annual marketing programming and partnerships calendar. This role reports to the Director of Global Brand and is an opportunity to be at the forefront of the fastest growing and most unique, immersive, cultural, observation deck experience in the world.

Blending elements of art, technology, architecture, hospitality and thrill, SUMMIT takes the concept of an “observation deck” to entirely new heights never-before-seen in the world. Atop the fourth tallest skyscraper in New York City, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt compels you to question your perception of the city, the environment and yourself through a collection of breathtaking installations. AIR is an experiential art installation created by Kenzo Digital and a blend of story-driven immersive art experiences mixing transparency and reflectivity to create the illusion of boundless space. AIR AT NIGHT transforms SUMMIT after dark, where dramatic waves of color illuminate AIR into a beacon of light and energy. LEVITATION, transparent glass-enclosed skyboxes extending over 1,000 ft. above Madison Avenue. ASCENT, a sensory defying all-glass elevator reaching SUMMIT’s highest elevation (1,210 ft.) above Midtown and our hospitality offering, APRES Café and Outdoor Terrace Bar by Danny Meyers Union Square Events, featuring a curated menu of light far and cocktails.

Key Responsibilities

The Global Marketing Manager will support the Director of Global Brand on all aspects of brand locally and globally, including creative campaigns, media, PR, content management, partnerships, and experiential projects for the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Observatory.

You will have the opportunity to design and execute marketing programs from concept through delivery, partnering cross-functionally with a diverse team of individuals across Creative, Digital Marketing, Sales, Operations and Guest Experience. You will play a key role in executing brand strategy and multi-channel integrated marketing programs, along with the implementation of key strategic partnerships and the annual programming calendar to ultimately drive brand awareness and ticket sales.

As the creative custodian for the team, you have a key eye for detail, ensuring copy, imagery and communications are consistent across all marketing and sales collateral.

With support of the Marketing Coordinator, lead day-day coordination and trafficking of marketing and creative assets aligned to the annual media plan and internal communications channels; including email, social, website and PR.

Responsible for post implementation campaign reporting with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision making.


  • Manage asset Library, production and delivery timelines, coordinate shoots, PR opportunities and ongoing content development.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Global Brand on key audience segments, conducting competitive analysist, and developing marketing strategies to drive ticket sales, repeat visitations and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with the Global Brand Director to deliver the local and global partnerships strategy, managing creation and implementation of assets and events to ultimately drive brand awareness.
  • Manage creative process, timelines and budgets for agency and internal projects.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal group and agencies - Sales, PR, Digital, Social, Operations, Guest Experience - to ensure clear communication, coordination and to maximize strategic planning.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring all activities is allocated accurately.
  • Lead website publishing calendar, assisting with content updates (e.g. copy, photos, videos) to ensure that all creative is published accurately, in coordination with the Director of Digital Marketing and Global Brand.
  • Help develop ongoing research plan and conduct market research and primary research on NYC location-based entertainment market (local and tourist)
  • Responsible for online reputation management through monitoring reviews on travel review sites with weekly reporting in coordination with the Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Manager.
  • Partner with sales on all B2B travel trade marketing efforts and collateral needs.
  • Lead annual programming calendar, creative briefing documents and ongoing project management of multiple campaigns.
  • Team leadership with management of a Marketing Coordinator.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience, developing marketing campaigns and programs to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related degree.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Savvy at tackling complex issues and providing creative solutions while collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Excellent writing, editing, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent creative and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Google Analytics and creative programs.
  • Prior experience working in the attendance-driven industry (e.g. attractions, travel, music and entertainment, sports) is a plus.
