Position: Assistant Golf Professional

Reports to: Golf Shop Manager

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (+)

Work Schedule: Full Time, includes most weekend days, based on seasonal business cycles

Job Summary: Pauma Valley Country Club is an exclusive private country club tucked away in the natural beauty of the foothills of Palomar Mountain, San Diego North County. The Club features a Robert Trent Jones Sr. signature golf course that opened for play on November 1st, 1960. The facility prides itself on providing world-class service to its members and their guests. We are seeking a full-time Golf Shop Assistant to round out our team.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Assist the Director of Golf in managing all daily Golf Shop operational tasks

· Ability to provide superior customer service and help promote the mission and vision of Pauma Valley Country Club to all of our members and their guests

· Ability to manage basic daily opening and closing procedures, including assisting with Outside Operations management as needed

· Must be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously during slower periods

· Must professionally conduct themselves at all times and be a team player

· Tournament management experience and have the ability to assist in all aspects of conducting and setting up events, preferably using Golf Genius premium software

· Ability to interact with members from all segments of our golfer population and assist with both men's and women's leagues

· Ability to see tasks through as assigned by Golf Shop Manager and other senior Professional Staff members

· Pauma Valley Country Club is a drug-free workplace, and potential candidates will be subject to drug screening and a background check before placement

Experience Required:

· Private club experience preferred

· Working Knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf

· High level of proficiency in computer software applications such as Word, Excel, Golf Genius, etc.

· Strong communication, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

· Tournament Operations experience prefered
