Grapevine Nursery Harvest Worker 1 Week Early November Job at Northeastern Vine Supply
Starting approximately the first week of November and continuing for 1 week.
Our bare root grapevine nursery gets harvested when the plants are dormant, and the leaves have fallen off. 8 acres of field grown nursery stock are undercut with a tractor implement leaving the dormant plants in loose soil. Harvest workers are needed to help pull the plants from the ground, bundle them and pass them up to be collected by a wagon.
Working conditions are all outside in the field. Temperatures can range from 30's-50'sF, and we work unless there is steady rain or freezing temperatures. Workers must be able to work at the ground level, and to be able to lift up to 40lb up to a wagon. Workers will be part of a 10 person crew. We work from 8am to about 4pm each day and will work through the weekend of the harvest week if needed. Appropriate clothing and footwear is required, as is reliable transportation.
