Elmwood Group Homes in Green Springs Ohio is now hiring for a Home Supervisor for Elmvue, a Group serving individuals with mental disabilities. This is a full time position with rotating weekends and holidays. High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience working with individuals with mental disabilities preferred but not required.

Duties include: Completes, monitors, and fills openings on the work schedule. Assists the Executive Director in filling openings in the home by identifying the need and interviews potential candidates for hire. Works closely with the Program Director in meeting the needs of the individuals and staff in the home. Meets at least weekly with the Program Director. Helps the Program Director develop program goals for each resident as needed. Assures that all goals are implemented as written. Oversees the daily documentation. Guarantees that active treatment is on-going in the home for all individuals. Learns and enforces regulatory requirements as determined by ODMR/DD Licensure, ODH certification, and any other local, state, or federal guidelines. Assures behavior management programs are strictly followed. Discusses and reports any problems, issues, or ideas for improvement with the Program Director. Report any unresolved issues related to resident care to the Program Director. The Home Supervisor assures that all individuals in their assigned home reach their highest level of functioning. The Home Supervisor supervises all Residential Training Staff in their home, and is responsible for the well being of each resident. Provides residents health-related duties including taking vital signs, application of clean dressings that do not require health assessment, basic measurement of bodily intake and output, use of glucometers, external urinary catheter care, emptying colostomy bags, and collection of specimens by non-invasive means. The Home Supervisor assists in the daily activities in the home, including the development and implementation of the program goals for each individual. Reports and communicates medical issues to the Health Service Coordinator. Is present during surveys. Participates in the interdisciplinary team and other teams as assigned. Communicates openly with Sandco and other ancillary services. Assures that all medical appointments are completed as directed by the Health Service Coordinator. Sees that the home, the individuals, and their personal affects are in good condition. Reports maintenance/building issues to the Maintenance Supervisor by using the Maintenance Request form. Trains staff and oversees appropriate use of vehicle safety and tie down procedure. Represents the home to outside communities as necessary. Completes other duties as assigned.
