ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate closely with the Front Office staff, Reservations staff and other departments with regard to any hotel guest requirement. Communicate with any hotel guest and assist with inquiries and needs.
  • Perform as translator/interpreter for hotel guests and staff, where foreign language is involved.
  • Responsible for Frequent Individual Traveler (FIT) guest treatment, including reconfirming flights and arranging transportation.
  • Perform as liaison between hotel guests and management.
  • Recommend hotel facilities, including Food and Beverage Outlets and sports activity outlets. Assist tour conductors to ensure tour group requirements are met.
  • Additional duties as assigned, in support of departmental or hotel-related functions or events.

Supervisory Responsibility

Works under the direct supervision of the Guest Relations Manager. Incumbent may be assigned tasks by the Director, Rooms Department, or the Front Office Manager, as needed. Confers with management on sensitive, guest issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Required to work day, swing and/or night shifts. Required to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
  • Sitting occurs approximately 80% of the time. Employee may sit up to 7 hours a day.
  • 20% of the tasks are performed from a non-seated position. These tasks include standing at the front desk or in the lobby, conducting tours or when escorting guests to other hotel facilities. These and other tasks require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending and grasping. Length of time at these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Exert force of 10-25 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual function being those of near and color vision and depth perception

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.25 - $10.25 per hour
