OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Guest Services Associates set the standard for our success in retail and sharing the ALO Brand Mission. The Guest Service Associate role creates an authentic, organic experience of excellence for every guest through genuine connection, product education and sharing about our community and culture. This individual is an expert in all facets of product knowledge, including features, benefits, fabric, usage, design and care. This individual is also skilled in tailoring their knowledge for each unique guest need, making it the most relevant and impactful. Guest Service Associate Responsibilities
· Builds relationships with every guest to create excitement about the ALO Brand Mission, product and community and goes above and beyond to exceed their expectations
· Knowledgeable about store goals, company communication, initiatives, new product launches and any additional information required by the Store Leadership Team; educate on guest-facing initiatives on the floor
· Receive and process shipment; unpacking, counting, tagging as needed, folding, sizing and setting on the floor or backroom storage
· Responsible for inventory management including receiving, processing, replenishment and visual merchandising
· Maintain standards through responding to replenishment, recovery, styling or other inventory needs with urgency
· Answers store phones and responds to guest questions or concerns
· Prepares garments for hemming via Hemster, completing necessary documentation and communication to guest on what to expect/timelines
· Arranges shipping from store for guests
· Ensures items from fitting rooms are sanitized, organized and returned to the floor appropriately
· Assists in closing the store including but not limited to; sizing, cleaning, trash removal and other duties as needed
· Accurately and efficiently processes transactions; payments, returns/exchanges, gift cards and e-commerce
· Ensures a safe workplace by staying educated and practicing company safety policies and procedures
· Aware of relevant local community programs and events
· Confidently introduces all facets of the ALO business model (Retail, Yoga, Café) through personal testimony and knowledge of all aspects and details
· Thoroughly knows yoga studio schedule and teachers, if applicable and can speak through personal testimony to Alo Moves platform and offerings
· Ability to accurately and efficiently process transactions in MindBody Online including; selling single or multiple class(es), refunding a class, signing up for future event, late/early cancel
Guest Service Associate Schedule
Part-time non-exempt associates are expected to work up to 29 hours per week; Full-time non-exempt associates are expected to work 32-40 hours per week with 100% of their work week spent on the sales floor or stockroom. All employees’ availability must suit the needs of the business, which are subject to change. The General Manager determines availability needs and creates a schedule including morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
The Company’s Guest Service Associate base pay ranges from $17.00 - $19.00/hour in Los Angeles, CA. Please also note, Guest Service Associates are eligible to participate in the Company’s Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may result in bringing the total compensation to a higher range. Further, the range listed is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package for retail employees. Other rewards may include clothing allowance, employee discount, 401K, competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, commuter benefits, Talkspace, and AloMoves.
