Full Time Guidance Counselor - Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School, a K-8th grade Diocesan school, seeks a full-time guidance counselor for the 2022-2023 school year.
Qualifications:
- Support the mission and goals of Catholic Education.
- Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.
- School counseling experience preferred.
- Florida School Counselor Certificate or be eligible for Florida certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Level II background check and mandated trainings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works in collaboration with teachers and school administration concerning student issues.
- Individual and/or small group counseling of students with academic, behavioral and personal/social concerns.
- Assists students in developing a plan for achieving educational, behavioral and personal/social goals.
- Implements a comprehensive school counseling program by teaching classroom guidance lessons to classes.
- Assist with TerraNova tests; dates, schedules, materials and accommodation groups for testing.
- Confers with classroom teachers, administration, support staff, parents and community agencies regarding students and their needs.
- Follows the guidelines of the national, state and district standards for professional school counselors.
- Adheres to ethical and legal professional standards.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
