Can work independently in serving snack to 180 students in preschool twice a day. This is including children with life-threatening allergies Prep, plus plating and serving hot lunch every day.
Ensure food is properly and safely prepared.
Ensure a sanitary kitchen space, including all countertops, and dishes used.
Observe proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
Ensure the highest standards in sanitary kitchen procedures, food prep and storage are maintained.
Clean and proper sanitary conditions at all times including counters, floors, and related equipment.
Education: Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in working in food service.
Abilities:
Can work independently and accept direction from supervisors.
Have good communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
Proper handling of knives and other cutting equipment.
Knowledge of proper safe food handling practices.
Must be able to read and follow standard written recipes.
Effective time management skills.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
