Summary
The Head, GOMA Digital Strategy and Innovation is responsible for building the GOMA digital strategy and leading Medical Affairs digital transformation efforts including development of processes, and implementation of novel and emerging technologies. He/She will lead scaling/implementation of digital/innovation projects across GOMA in collaboration with Medical Affairs functions and regions. He/she will also be accountable for building, maintaining and optimizing all GOMA technology platforms and systems ensuring configurations align with medical affairs processes and support digital capabilities. In addition, he/she will develop medical analytics and intelligence capabilities within GOMA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement GOMA Digital and Innovation Vision, Strategy and Roadmap
  • Lead the development of a digital framework and operating model for GOMA
  • Develop and implement the Medical Affairs digital roadmap
  • Build processes to support the development of digital capabilities for engagement with external stakeholders
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for digital transformation across GOMA functions
  • Lead GOMA Digital initiatives in collaboration with functions and regions
  • Build Digital Infrastructure and capabilities
  • Omnichannel engagement and data dissemination- Strategy, process, and implementation to convert scientific materials to digital (e.g. podcasts, videos, portals, chatbots)
  • Digital KEE/DOL engagement strategies and capabilities
  • Advanced data and analytics including oversight of deployed data scientists
  • Efforts to enable self-service
  • Partner with Global MSL Excellence and lead efforts to advance digital capabilities for Field Medical:- Enhanced profiling and targeting- Implementation of Next Best Action- Content personalization
  • Drive digital health solutions and real-world evidence generation supported by disruptive innovation and trends
- Oversee maintenance and advancement of Global MA Tools and Technology through leadership of Operations Technology Solutions team
  • Ensure alignment of technology and systems supports the digital roadmap
  • Vendor management and budget responsibility for GOMA technology and tools
  • Coordinate with other internal digital functions (Commercial, RD, Japan, IT, etc) across DS
  • Function as a strategic thought partner on matters of importance to Medical Affairs digital efforts
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. RD, Commercial) to identify and collaborate on digital projects of mutual interest
  • Represent GOMA on internal digital governance committees
  • Change management/SME
  • Continuously monitor the external landscape to identify innovations and digital tools
  • Track medical affairs industry best practices in process, tools, and technology, and incorporate into digital strategy as appropriate
  • Lead efforts to enhance digital literacy and create a digital mindset for DS MA employees
  • Act as a champion and change agent in leading organizational changes required to create and sustain digital capabilities, including medical analytics and intelligence
  • Identify and address implementation barriers to new digital tools and processes
  • Work within existing Company policies and SOPs to manage risk and develop mitigation approaches
  • Lead and/or contribute to the development of policies and SOPs governing Digital
  • Medical Analytics and Intelligence
  • Strengthen capabilities in medical analytics and intelligence, supervision of medical competitive intelligence role
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of medical strategies and innovation
  • Utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement of processes and tools, and to determine appropriate resource needs, including budget, tools and personnel
Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

Advanced Degree required (such as Masters, PharmD, PhD)

Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in pharma/biopharma required
  • 7+ years of Medical Affairs experiences required
  • Experience in Medical Affairs technology (e.g. CRM, Insights tools) required
  • Field Medical experience preferred
  • Team/line management preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization, lead complex projects, solve potential issues, show creativity and an open-minded approach, be results oriented, have strong communication and organizational skill preferred
Travel
Ability to travel up to 20% Travel to conferences and team meetings will be required.
