- Work with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements, develop solutions, and create technical designs.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the junior members of the data analytics team, ensuring that the solutions are built according to best practices.
- Own and improve the data platform architecture
- Evaluate new technologies and integrate them into our infrastructure
- Lead the design of improved data flows, data architecture, and data solutions
- Help build out a secure and highly available data system to scale
- Help create and build front office data analytics tools and automation processes

To be considered for this role, you must have experience working for a financial firm and must be based in Greater Chicago as you will be expected to come into their office in downtown Chicago 4 days a week.
- 7+ years of experience developing, designing and supporting applications at a financial institution
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture best practices, such as data modeling, database design, and data integration
- Proven track record of designing and deploying data architectures with scalability and performance in mind
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design and troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, C# and/or Tableau
- Experience with cloud-based data architectures, such as AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of data security principles and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders across the organization
- Automating of processes and analytics and the technologies that enable automation
