• Work with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements, develop solutions, and create technical designs.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the junior members of the data analytics team, ensuring that the solutions are built according to best practices.
• Own and improve the data platform architecture
• Evaluate new technologies and integrate them into our infrastructure
• Lead the design of improved data flows, data architecture, and data solutions
• Help build out a secure and highly available data system to scale
• Help create and build front office data analytics tools and automation processes

To be considered for this role, you must have experience working for a financial firm and must be based in Greater Chicago as you will be expected to come into their office in downtown Chicago 4 days a week.

• 7+ years of experience developing, designing and supporting applications at a financial institution
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture best practices, such as data modeling, database design, and data integration
• Proven track record of designing and deploying data architectures with scalability and performance in mind
• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design and troubleshoot complex technical problems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, C# and/or Tableau
• Experience with cloud-based data architectures, such as AWS and Azure
• Knowledge of data security principles and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders across the organization
• Automating of processes and analytics and the technologies that enable automation
