This is a newly created, fast paced, highly visible role with key accountability that will define and drive our global medical enterprise digital ambition for Jazz Global Medical Affairs. This role reports to the Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs.

The role will strategically partner with the Therapeutic Areas (TAs), Head of Medical Operations and Effectiveness, Global Medical Promotional and Regulatory Affairs and Regional Medical Affairs.

This senior leader will drive the development and execution of our digital agenda and will be accountable for the creation of the Medical Affairs Digital Strategy Framework which will to enable TAs and regions to better deliver patient centric impact and performance.

Essential Functions

• Accountable for strategically developing the Global Medical Affairs digital ambition and strategy in close partnership with stakeholders across the TA’s and regions
• Drive prioritization and support the delivery of our enterprise digital ambition across Global Medical Affairs and accountable for developing the governance framework to support the work
• Collaboratively grow the omnichannel scientific strategy, architecture, and infrastructure requirements to fulfil our HCP and Patient Engagement Strategy ensuring alignment and execution through global medical plans as well as regional integrated brand plans
• From an enterprise digital strategy perspective and in partnership with medical leaders, drive asset prioritization across global activities to develop effective medical omnichannel strategies and engagement to inform critical business decisions (e.g., Medical Launch plans).
• Developing the necessary core competencies, talent, skillsets, training, and resource models to support digital advocacy in the Global Medical Affairs Team

• Help driving insights and translate content into strategic impact via medical plans for patients, healthcare providers and regulators.
• Delivers digital solutions for measuring the impact and value of global medical plan execution in collaboration with Head of Operations & Effectiveness and TA’s.
• Deliver strong customer focus and follow industry digital health care trends to inform present impactful and future thinking and direction of new digital initiatives.
• Incorporates Jazz’s vision and values in delivering Global Medical Affairs Digital Healthcare

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ten plus years of relevant health care experience
• Advance degree required (Masters’ or higher technology -related field, MBA, PharmD, PhD or MD)
• Preference for experience in both medical affairs and digital leadership roles
• At least 8 years professional experience working in office based global or local medical affairs roles
• At least 5 years of direct line management responsibility
• Demonstrate an executive presence, strong business acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity, and manages complexity
• Experience working in medical affairs at an above country level, In-depth knowledge of Medical Affairs organizations including related operating processes, regulations, and standards.
• Strong digital and omnichannel technology and operation system knowledge
• An understanding of Business and Healthcare Professional needs coupled with excellent communication skills are essential
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects in a matrix organization
• Experience working with senior key stakeholders
• Strategic & innovative approach to problem-solving with strong planning and organization skills.
• Requires high level of proactivity and sense of urgency to anticipate and react to needs of the organization
• Excellence in internal engagement - building credibility with, and insights through, a strong internal network of key stakeholders in Medical & Governance
• Demonstrated ability to build strong networks of external and internal experts
• Highly developed leadership, networking, communication and influencing skills to work effectively in a complex matrix environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative team environment, often in unstructured conditions, as well as to work independently
