This role
Fathom Radiant is building a new type of computer hardware for safe artificial intelligence. Our goal is to be a trusted and responsible hardware provider, and be successful such that the vast majority of compute used to train state of the art AI systems be on our hardware. Achieving these goals requires us to build good relationships with AI developers and technology partners, and ensure that what we’re building suits their needs. As our first dedicated product hire, you will be responsible for both strategic and operational product development. You’ll also focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management. You’ll work closely with potential clients to understand their needs and ensure we’re building the right product for them. You’ll also be responsible for researching market trends and analyzing Fathom’s product and business strategy.
The desired location for this role is Boulder, CO or the Bay Area, CA. We're open to consider remote work for exceptional candidates.
Areas of contribution:
- Collaborate with our leadership team to define a product and business strategy which furthers our mission to help ensure that advanced AI systems end up being a good thing for the world
- Build and maintain solid relationships with customers, vendors, and sales or marketing teams within the industry
- Develop a deep understanding of Fathom’s technology so that you can effectively evaluate business opportunities
- Research and monitor market and sales trends
- Coordinate business generation activities
Requirements (necessary skills for this role):
- Demonstrated experience to understand Fathom’s tech and industry landscape
- Inspired by Fathom’s mission statement and value-aligned with our goals of helping develop safe machine intelligence
- Prior success in product / business development or sales
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to distill complex ideas and present arguments in a clear and compelling way
- Attentiveness to detail - e.g. willing to keep a detailed and up-to-date CRM of customers and partners

- Exceptional leadership skills
- Experience with prospect management and lead generation
Indicative salary range for this role: $125,000 - $175,000
