Position Summary
This role is responsible for the development, operation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) programs as part of the Safety, Quality and Training and Standards (SQT) Business Capability Area (BCA) within the Air and Space Group (ASG). Oversees the administrative management and effectiveness of the QMS programs for the ASG. Initiates corrective and preventative actions when necessary, developing and promoting the quality policy, implementing processes and procedures to continuously improve the ASG products. The Head of Quality—is the principle point of contact within the ASG for all matters pertaining to quality and will work closely with the Head of Safety and Head of Training and Standards to support high quality service delivery across all the ASG Business Units (BUs).
Essential Functions Statements
- Oversee the administrative management, implementation, and coordination for Metrea Air and Space Group (ASG) quality programs to standardize quality control in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards; conduct and manage internal audits to monitor compliance.
- Oversee the audit processes that ensure system quality. Report all nonconformities and opportunities for improvement to the Head of ASG or BU leader as appropriate.
- Collaborate with industry experts outside the organization.
- Administrative oversight and development of quality programs for incorporation into the operational policies of the ASG.
- Provide administrative oversight, management, and coordination of all quality-related activities within the ASG Quality Management Systems.
- Provide administrative oversight and interface across all departments adding value, providing aviation quality inputs, improving efficiencies on quality related programs as necessary to ensure accuracy, completeness, and management of data and technical information.
- Provide administrative oversight and manage ASG Quality audits to ensure all respective business units are prepared for their external audits to ensure consistent compliance with the standard.
- Provide administrative development and oversight of ASG Quality programs, record keeping systems, policies, and procedures maintaining compliance within the ASG QMS programs.
- Interact frequently with all business unit quality managers to ensure follow-through and completion of milestones related to annual quality requirements.
- Liaise with other Business Capabilities (especially Safety and Training and Standards) and leaders to ensure quality programs are integrated into day-to-day operations as required by the ASG aviation programs.
- Develop and deliver high quality services and effective support to aviation quality programs that ensure the success of the QMS across the ASG.
- Mentor all subordinate quality representatives to stimulate professional growth providing training in required areas annually.
- Perform duties as an active member of an aircraft accident board, as needed.
- Conduct other tasks as identified by the Head of ASG.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities as the ASG Head of Quality in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Identify, interview, and evaluate qualified candidates for placement in CONUS / OCONUS ASG sites.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: B.A./B.S. degree from a four-year college or university in a related field and/or combination of education and related experience.
- Formal training as a lead auditor.
- Combined supervisory experience at a higher level in one of the following roles:
- One (1) year Aviation Quality Director
- Three (3) years as a Quality manager performing internal and external audits.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License
- COVID-19 Vaccination Card
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.

Experience:
- Two years’ experience as a manager or Director of an aviation centric Quality Management System (QMS).
- Knowledge and experience with implementation of QMS.
- Knowledge of all areas of aircraft QMS, AS9100 and AS9110.
- Knowledge of external agencies (including FAA, NTSB, ICAO, EASA, etc.)
- Leading Quality Management Reviews.
- Making presentations to senior leadership and performing internal and external audits.
- Demonstrating ability to act as a Quality Ambassador for the organization, both internally and externally.
- Managing a Quality program with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Graduate from a formal auditor’s course with accreditation.
- Understanding of aviation related quality assurance programs.
- Prior military/contractor aviation support experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
