Head Start Family Service Worker Job at Delaware County Intermediate Unit
The job of Head Start Program Family Service Worker was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for enlisting parental involvement in students' educational programs; working with parents in identifying and achieving goals; accessing support services; creating training programs; and facilitating positive parent, school and student relationships.
Minimum requirements:
BA or advanced degree in Social Work, Human Development and Family Services, Psychology, Early Childhood Education or related degree
Access to reliable transportation
Six months experience with children and families
Ability to work with computers
Able to function independently
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to function in a culturally diverse population
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
