SUMMARY
The Graduate Coordinator of Advising & Student Success counsels undeclared and first-year
students on their academic strategies and development, academic routine, major choice, future
career, and obtaining student educational outcomes.
This is a part-time (10-month), 2-year, exempt, benefits non-eligible position. Graduate Assistant Positions are limited to applicants seeking a Master’s degree in higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (M.Ed) at Rosemont College. Free on-campus housing and meal plan are included. HESAA students serve as half-time staff members, paired for 20 hours per week with a campus department.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited the following:
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE*
- Advise students from various backgrounds, such as freshmen or transfer students,
- Assist students with the identification of long-term goals and career paths.
- Advise a caseload of incoming students through their first year with course registration
- Closely observing students to proactively identify at-risk scenarios and identify ways to
- Assist students who may walk-in who need additional help with course registration or
- Effectively aiding students with ADA accommodations.
- Assisting with delving into academic programs, and focusing on academic management,

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
- Must display a good representation of the College
- Proficient with Microsoft® Office Products (especially Word and Excel)
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to work well with Faculty, Students and Staff
- Excellent oral communication skills
