High School Principal Job at Teach Iowa
South Central is seeking a High School Principal to begin the 2023-2024 School Year.
South Central Calhoun is geographically located in rural north-central
to northwest Iowa. We are located between Fort Dodge and Carroll with
only 1 .5 hours from Ames, Sioux City an Des Moines and 2 hours from
Omaha. Our High School is located in Lake City, Iowa and serves approximately 260 students, across 465 square miles, in grades 9-12. With these numbers we offer a small school atmosphere with a 10:1 students to
certified adult ratio. Student daily attendance averages 94% with a graduation rate of 91%. In addition we have over 78% of our high school students participating in some kind of school activity. The majority of HS student events/activities take place in the Lake City facility with the exception of basketball and wrestling which are primarily hosted in our designated competition gym in Rockwell City. Students in the district are offered professional social emotional counseling services on site for those that qualify and are in while all 9th-12th grades have access to a 1:1 laptop.
