HIGHWAY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II Job at Wabasha County
Perform survey and staking duties including researching and establishing control points, gathering data and construction staking. Use of modern survey equipment and techniques is required.
Assist with the design and plan preparation of construction projects including processing gathered survey data, and preparation of quantity estimates and plan sheets. Knowledge and experience of design software, AutoDesk Civil 3D, is required.
Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with construction plans and contracts including documenting and reporting quantities of items of work performed and contract time, communicating frequently with contractors, and performing material testing and quality control.
Perform inspection and document condition of existing infrastructure. Assist department staff in bridge safety inspections.
