Position Overview
The Home Care Scheduler works on a multidisciplinary team whose primary daily role involves being a liaison for the client, family, and caregiver. Daily activities oftentimes involve planning, scheduling, recruiting, and monitoring care for our geriatric clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with Caregivers, Clients and Families
- Meet with prospective clients to review and document care needs
- Manage Client schedules ensuring requests for care are met
- Manage Caregiver schedules
- Source and recruit talented caregivers
- Maintain calm and compassionate attitude
- Ensure Patient and Caregiver Privacy needs are always maintained
- Review and process weekly payroll
- Participates in office On-Call rotation
- Proactive mindset in solving challenges and creating solutions
- Knows and acts in accordance with the applicable state laws governing the type of care that a Caregiver can lawfully provide based on the Caregiver’s licensure or certification
- Utilize Outlook for email and calendar appointment/event scheduling
- Utilize ClearCare and any other necessary systems for complete and accurate care coordination, Caregiver scheduling, data tracking, notes, and follow-up

Educational Background/Knowledge/Prior Experience:
- Two years of experience in scheduling preferably in Home Care industry
- High School Diploma required, BA/BS related field is a plus
Necessary Attributes and Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Pleasant phone manner
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
