Job Title(s): Certify Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide

Job Responsibility:
The Rem-Kiks Adult Day Care Certified Nursing Aide/Home Health Aide is responsible for assisting with the daily activities in the Adult Day Health Center. These duties will include greeting the frail, elderly, and physically disabled clients and family members each day. The CNA/HHA will provide patients with important social and emotional support and provide vital information on patient conditions to the Nurse Manager. Assist clients with personal care services such as toileting, bathing, feeding, changing, and transfers. Insure that all participants’ basic needs are being met on a consistent basis as determined by observation and documentation. Take all steps necessary to insure safety of participants and report any significant medical information to nurse as evidence by documentation. Apply first aid in case of sudden illness/accident. Coordinate and insure a wide variety of daily activities/services are delivered according to established schedules and procedures, including showers, transportation, ambulating, and personal care assistance. Assist with wheelchair transportation and maintain an orderly work area. Assist the nurse with the taking and recording of vital signs and other personal care services as needed. Create an inclusive atmosphere and promote a sense of belonging. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Performance Requirements:

1. Must be able to use one or both hands for writing, use a phone, and other precision work-related tasks.

2. Must be able to intermittently stand for time periods of up to six hours a day.

3. Must be able to walk on various terrains with changes in temperature and exposure to dust and other irritants, such as pollen.

4. Must be able to climb three flights of stairs.

5. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with fellow workers, clients, and the public.

6. Must be able to frequently assist and help transfer clients.

7. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 (twenty-five) pounds.

8. Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, reach, and twist occasionally during the work day.

9. Must be able to occasionally carry up to 25 (twenty-five) pounds.

10. Must be able to occasionally push up to 100 (one hundred) pounds.

11. Must be able to occasionally pull up to 100 (one hundred) pounds.

13. Must be Covid-19 Vaccinated.'
