HOSPITALIST SERVICE

• Average Daily Encounters: 12
• Shift times: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
• Day shift admissions: 1-3
• Night shift admissions: 1-3
• In-house nights, a call room is available
• 6-bed ICU; an average of 1-2 patients
• Hospitalists will admit & round in the ICU
• Procedures are preferred, but not required
• Pulmonologist on call
• ED runs codes
• Temporary privileges available
