Champion Hotels are looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to join our sales team.

The Sales Manager will handle group business to include group room blocks and all business opportunities to maximize revenue. Candidates must be flexible, extremely organized, detail-oriented, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including revenue management, sales management, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming group opportunities for business.
  • Processes business correspondence within acceptable time limits.
  • Create contracts and other related booking documentation as required.
  • Manage and maintain account files.
  • Understand the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and know how to sell against them.
  • Close the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs using negotiating skills and creative selling.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Set up and maintain all locally negotiated rates.
  • Proactively solicit new business through solicitation calls and cold calls.
  • Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposal, contracts).
  • Provide appropriate follow up for deadlines and clients requests.
  • Represent the hotel with the highest level of professionalism and service at all industry events and occasions.
  • Perform site tours for potential clients.
  • Communicate with all operational departments in an effective way.
  • Develop booking goals, action plans and the annual sales and marketing plan.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales.
  • Develop local promotional strategies to improve revenues in rooms, food and beverage.
  • Ensure timely completion of rate negotiation contracts and RFPs'
