Hotel Maintenance Job at Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites
Looking for a motivated individual to assist in the maintenance department at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Olympia, WA. Our award-winning property is in need of a hard working, self guided team member with guest satisfaction and cleanliness as top priority. This role requires an individual who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and working to support your fellow team members. We need a hands-on individual who can run in housekeeping one day, and help with room maintenance issues another. Our maintenance positions are responsible for assisting in cleaning the hotel, keeping the grounds, basic room repairs, and a host of other things that come with working at a hotel. At this property we lead by example and expect everyone to pitch in when necessary to get the job done. The ideal candidate will complement our staff and management style and be a leader who can keep up with our standards and procedures.

Expectations
· Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager
· Daily tasks to perform using hand and power tools
· Work closely with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors assisting them
with concerns or needed repairs
· You must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time and be able to hold/carry up to 80lbs.
· Daily tasks will include:
o Check daily maintenance log for rooms out of order or in need of repair –
take necessary action
o Review front desk pass through log for the previous day, checking for
maintenance related items that need to be fixed.
o Check all equipment the guests will be experiencing, and clean common areas.
o Walk property checking for burned-out lights, trash, etc.. twice daily (AM
and afternoon)
o Check with maintenance manager and housekeeping supervisor for
additional concerns or repairs.
o Walk parking lot to remove trash and review landscaping.
o Complete scheduled maintenance for the day.
o Additional tasks may include: (Some training will be available)
· Painting
· Minor plumbing
· Minor electrical work
· Minor Furniture repair & touchup
· Assist housekeeping with deep cleaning of rooms
· Stock housekeeping storage rooms
· Assist with pool area: clean and organize on a daily basis
· Assist maintenance manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
