Leaders must be available to work a minimum of four (4) shifts per week, and have opening or closing and weekend availability. As a Chick-fil-A Leader, your role is as much relational as it is operational. You’ll take ownership of leading leaders in a multi-million dollar earning restaurant, while making sure each guest and team member is cared for. No matter what you are doing, our Shift Leaders generate results while impacting the lives of our team and guests.
Back of House Manager Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Develop trust with our guests by consistently serving high-quality food in a food-safe and sanitary environment, and by preparing, cooking and presenting food orders with accuracy in accordance with local health and Chick-fil-A quality standards.
- Fully responsibility for leading specific area of the business. Communicate vision and provide focus to the restaurant leadership team.
- Engage and develop others - coach, provide feedback, hold accountable, assess talent, and inspire the team to be their best.
- Serve and support HR and Training directors to achieve goals in their respective areas
- Work with other leaders to ensure Chick-fil-A culture is upheld and that the team feels appreciated and recognized
- Ensure team is receiving consistent development opportunities and performance feedback
- Identify and communicate training gaps and help implement corrective plans
- Ensure hiring needs and growth positions are communicated to HR Director
- Identify and develop talent, keeping a full bench for each role
- Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and Directors to increase profitability by following and enforcing set processes to reduce costs, increase productivity, and promote sales.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items at all times
- Previous hospitality, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred but not required!
- Associate Degree, Bachelor 's Degree or 3+ years of Leadership Experience required
- Previous leadership experience is required
Required Skills, Competencies & Traits:
- Willingness to gain proficiency as a team member before progressing into leadership, and the willingness to be used in all Back of House positions.
- Ability to multitask and work at a quick, yet efficient and thorough pace- hustle is a must!
- Comfortable using technology such as training tablets, multiple POS systems, and multiple cell phone applications.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which includes but is not limited to: standing for hours at a time, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50lbs, and equipment handling such as pans, pots, knives, and machines.
- Knowledge of all menu items including seasonal promotion items.
- Ability to work well under pressure by maintaining a professional and friendly composure in stressful situations.
- Possess clear, effective, and professional communication skills, reading, writing and basic math competencies, and critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Ability to lead, delegate, resolve conflict, and make quick decisions while not being afraid to make mistakes; possess a high level of professionalism, honesty and confidentiality.
- Possess a positive and entrepreneurial mindset, the grit for continuous hard work, a commitment to personal and professional development, an interest in teaching and training, the capacity for empathy and compassion, and an unwavering commitment to achieve results.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18+ years old
- Prior experience as manager, supervisor, crew lead, shift lead, assistant manager, kitchen manager, BOH manager is very helpful to your success at this job.
- ServSafe Certification is a plus
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to serve others
- Possesses an understanding and the ability to work in a very fast pace environment
- Values integrity; trustworthy and honesty
- Has a desire for continuous improvement and an openness to different leadership strategies
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of Leadership Experience required
- Previous Leadership Experience is required
- Bilingual (Spanish / English)
