Corvallis Caring Place (CCP), a not-for-profit assisted living facility, provides compassionate, quality care for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living.
We are currently seeking an experienced Housekeeper to assist with regularly scheduled and unscheduled housekeeping in both resident apartments and common areas. Current opening for 9 AM - 2 PM, Tuesday - Saturday.
Essential Functions:
- Perform light housekeeping duties in resident apartments, including vacuuming all carpets, mop and clean bathroom, change bed linens, clean kitchenette counter, refrigerator and microwave, and light dusting.
- Clean common areas as scheduled. These areas include, but are not limited to, lobby, office areas, staff lounge, activity room, library, halls, conference room, and public bathrooms.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new admissions.
- Assure all common area light bulbs are functional (ie hallways, dining room, apartment ceiling lights, offices, and public rooms).
- Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
Qualifications:
- Supportive of the Corvallis Caring Place Philosophy.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic sanitation, maintenance skills and tool knowledge
- Able to prioritize own workload and work unsupervised.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with elderly.
- Capable of lifting 10-40 lbs. with occasional lifting of over 50 lbs.
- Ability to move safely and frequently during the workday, including carrying, lifting, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and kneeling.
- Ability to pull/ push equipment.
- Visual and auditory acuity within normal limits.
- Must be flexible and responsive to change on short notice.
- Sufficient English and language skills to following instructions from staff and ability to understand and respond to resident s needs.
