We are currently seeking a full-time HR Assistant for our Senior Living Community in La Mesa, CA.

We are a vibrant 9 acre garden-style community catering to a diverse population of seniors looking to live their lives to the fullest every day. It is our mission to provide the highest level of services and promote a healthy lifestyle of our residents, foster their independence and encourage social involvement.

Responsibilites:

  • The HR Assistant liaises closely with Payroll, Accounting and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer-focused and effective HR support service to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Provide general administrative support such as filing electronic and hard copy documents; answer office telephones; and distribute/forward correspondence to appropriate staff
  • Respond to queries from managers, employees, and departments regarding benefits, certifications, hospital events, leaves of absence, etc
  • Assist with gathering pre-employment paperwork, identifying missing documents, and scheduling appointment
  • Maintain personnel records, make copies, scan and send via required mail process
  • Provide support for New Hire Orientation
  • Assist with editing and updating employee status, job titles, benefits, and certifications
  • Serve as a liaison for Payroll, deliver all PARS, direct deposits, checks and other related documents
  • Disassemble and file personnel records of terminated employees
  • Provide support for office supplies and inventory
  • Assemble new hire packets
  • Assist with tracking employees on medical leave of absence, worker’s compensation leave, and follow up with their benefits payments
  • Post flyers and distribute brochures as needed
  • Educate employees on HR Policies and Procedures
  • Exercise individual judgment and discretion when dealing with HR issues

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Well-organized, detail oriented and resourceful.
  • Capable of working independently and multitasking.
  • Ability to work and learn efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Must pass a criminal background clearance before beginning work.
  • Must have COVID Vaccine with booster prior to working

Job Type:

Salary:

$21/hr - $25/hr
