HR Coordinator
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Coordinator role will have a dual focus, supporting a range of human resources activities as well as the day-to-day office administration functions for the site.
Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advise client group(s) on interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs.
- With the guidance of senior members of the HR team, support management with performance and employee relations.
- Administration associated with the employee life cycle – new hires, leaves of absences, benefit changes, transfers, terminations, etc.
- Interview applicants for vacant positions
- Assisted with facilitating new hire orientation as needed.
- Ensure effective exit interviews and provide analysis and recommendations.
- Keeping the HRIS updated and ensuring data integrity.
- Assist in roll-out, communication and monitoring of HR processes and programs.
- Participating in a variety of projects as part of the regional and/or corporate HR teams.
Facility Operations:
- Leads operational tasks under the direction of facility management
- Work with teams to identify problems in operational processes and resolve them in quickly and timely manner
- Attend meetings, including preparation of agendas in advance of the meeting, minutes taking and distribution
- Assists with negotiating procurement with contractors and suppliers as required
- Audit department invoices and prepare documents for payment to the finance department.
- Reconcile credit card statement(s) with expenses
- Assist with the collection, opening, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Arrange lunches & meetings, including ordering meals / beverages as required
- Other duties as required
Job Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree, preferably in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a junior Human Resources position, or a new grad who has a strong interest in pursuing a career in HR.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
