Job Responsibilities & Duties:

The HR Generalist / Administrative Assistant will support our administrative team with numerous duties and responsibilities. Our growing company needs someone that is organized, a team player and can bring their experience and enthusiasm to the job.

  • Recruit staff to meet the present and future needs of our clients
  • Help manage indeed ads
  • Review resumes and initial qualifications of all applicants
  • Handle initial interviews and screening
  • Coordinate second interviews with manager
  • Manage onboarding process and check points to starting employment
  • Schedule new hire training/physicals/drug testing with internal and external resources
  • Manage vendor relationships for new hire screening services
  • Set up and maintain electronic and hard-copy employee files and processing of all paperwork and documentation
  • Manage employee new hire, annual and vendor required training
  • Implement and monitor new hire onboarding (30/60/90 plans) with field supervisors and regular employee check ins
  • Work with scheduling to accomplish new hire employee plans
  • Manage and maintain DOT driver records – for new hires and annual maintenance updates
  • Support L&I, Unemployment, and Shared Work Claims and compliance and reporting paperwork
  • Track the badges/training expirations and schedule renewals of all employees
  • Manage Benefit administration – Health Insurance, Disability Ins, Fitness Membership, Boot & Rx glasses, IRA, PTO accrual, COBRA
  • Section 125 – POP documentation and renewal
  • Work collaboratively with health insurance renewal – Census; EE database; help compare policies/rates, etc.
  • Coordinate and assure regular Employee Reviews occur
  • Help maintain and update the Employee handbook as needed
  • Assist in the administration of random drug testing programs
  • Assist in planning & executing employee events (Holiday party / summer picnic / BBQs or pizza lunches at facilities)
  • Tracking employee proficiencies, updating records

General Duties

  • Be the company’s resource for HR solutions, protocols and compliance.
  • Able to creatively solve problems and be flexible

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Human Resources and administrative support
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Bookkeeping background, preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks, helpful
  • Experience with prevailing wage & certified payroll reporting, helpful
  • Strong keyboarding skills

Work Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt position (eligible for overtime).

Typical work schedule and hours are 32.5 hours per week as follows:

Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 5:30pm (30 min break)

Friday 8am to 5pm (30 min break)

Occasionally up to 40 hours per week during peaks and PTO coverage, etc.

Compensation

Wage range: DOE $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
