Sage Creek Post Acute is looking for a skilled, experienced, and personable HR/ Payroll Specialist to join our team!

Purpose: To contribute to the healthy functioning of our facility though overseeing Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounts Payable functions while ensuring policy & procedure compliance in all related areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing Payroll and Employee Changes
  • Administration of HR Policies/Procedures
  • Benefits Administration (health & supplemental insurances, PTO, etc.)
  • Development of Employee Onboarding Programs
  • Assist in Hiring and Recruiting efforts
  • Other HR Tasks and Projects as Assigned
  • Responsibilities include Human Resources, payroll, census, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Assists with Quality Assurance Program, as required.
  • Assists Case Management and Discharge planning when appropriate..
  • Ensures systems and controls are in place as outlined in policy and procedure manuals. Meets established daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Directs processing of accounts receivable, adjustments/refunds, private and third party agencies, census information, ancillaries, cash deposits and posting
  • Manages all month end processes, which include completion of data entry, review and correction of edits, and census reconciliation.
  • Manages accounts receivable collections for past due customer accounts, ensures timely filing of Insurance claims.
  • Recommends and prepares accounts for outside collection agencies, attorneys, and write off.
  • Coordinates documentation for internal and external auditors. Assists administrator and Accounting Department with resolving G/L variances.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Administrator

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • At least one year of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Experience in Payroll and/or HR Human Resource Information System (We use Paylocity)
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training

Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)

  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Continuous bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination.
  • Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires infrequent lifting of weight up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of carts and transporting residents.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

Environmental conditions: Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
