Human Resources Specialist - Margaritaville Beach Resort - Fort Myers Beach, Florida


The Human Resource Specialist is the collaborator and colleague whose primary responsibilities are supporting all HR-related tasks. The HR Generalist oversees nearly all programs and services related to the companys human resources department.


Essential Job Functions
:


  • Demonstrates an exemplary, pleasant, friendly, and welcoming presence to all team members and guests.
  • Administer and facilitate recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and orientation, which includes coordination/facilitation and training.
  • Subject matter expert on company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Generating offer letters and administrating background checks, I-9 documents, and E-Verify.
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures, and manage all pre-payroll administration, including, but not limited to, garnishments, benefits administration, and leave of absence
  • Maintaining physical and digital employee files and ensuring confidentiality and limited access to sensitive data and employee matters.
  • Act as a technical resource for associates to address and resolve day-to-day inquiries and problems relating to the human resources function.
  • HRIS (Talent Reef) maintains and updates employee data and participates in implementing and rolling out new HR solutions.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
  • Compile data relating to recruiting and employee demographics to analyze data trends to maximize our employee experience.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality; & the highest ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management, and employees.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
  • Assist in the development of employee engagement, functions, and events.
  • Provide high-quality, timely, professional service to internal customers and associates.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related experience
  • SHRM- SP or relative experience preferred but not required
  • Deep understanding of Florida Labor Law and employment regulations
  • Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR generalist experience in a hospitality environment


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:


  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Great problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making ability
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual a plus
