POSITION: HR Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Specialist position is responsible for the implementation of talent acquisition, and compensation and benefits strategies to achieve quality on recruiting, selection and hiring. Ensures the processes are timely and in compliance with company policies and practices, and support business strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support to Strategic Partners in position requirements definition and job description review.
  • Receive and validate documentation of HRAFs and maintain log (accurate tracking).
  • Define sourcing strategy applicable. Responsible for internal and external recruitment. Attract candidates by a variety of available tools such as databases, social media, others.
  • Responsible for full recruitment cycle including from job posting, sourcing, assessing and delivering a high quality, diverse talent pool to hiring managers.
  • Screen, evaluate and recommended candidates for regular and temporary positions.
  • Review and evaluate resumes to select appropriate pool of candidates for face to face interviews using behavioral and competency based interviewing techniques (regular and temporary positions)
  • Review and screen resumes to select appropriate pool of candidates for face to face interviews
  • Identify interviewing team and competency requirements for interviewers; participate in interviews and facilitate debriefing sessions as appropriate.
  • Coordinate to publish positions on Company’s website.
  • Input data into applicant requisition system and generates reports as necessary, tracks and understands the system’s capabilities, including EEO/Applicant Tracking for compliance.
  • Manage all related communication with applicants and hiring manager.
  • Work to fill all vacancies in a timely, cost-efficient manner with the most qualified candidates.
  • Build and understand the key recruiting data needed to generate the appropriate organization and client reports.
  • Produce weekly and monthly metrics for internal and external reporting such as Headcount, Aging of Open Positions, among others.
  • Work to fill vacancies in a timely, cost-efficient manner
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process

  • Research, collect and analyze data to determine appropriate salary grade for proposed new positions, re-evaluations of current positions and individual compensation proposals for new hires, promotions and others.
  • Provide analytical support for a wide range of compensation programs and policies.
  • Work with the preparation of salary increases and development of salary ranges.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Must have 2 or more years of high volume recruitment and 1 to 3 years related experience.
  • Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of all applicable federal and local laws as well as EEO and Affirmative Action.
  • Utilization of an automated applicant tracking system and internet resume sourcing required.
  • Have demonstrated experience or ability to meet recruiting metrics/targets.
  • Must be proficient in PC, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and other related software packages such as HRB.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion as it relates to all candidates – internal and external – and to employees’ confidential information.
  • Involves frequent contact and working knowledge of recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a focus on delivering projected results (high volume/high quality candidates).
  • Be comfortable initiating and/or responding to medium to high volume of daily calls.
  • Capacity to effectively manage and prioritize projects and tasks with a superior attention to detail while effectively adapting to changing priorities with flexibility and creativity.
  • Capable of interacting with all levels of external and internal professionals while developing strong productive relationships and designing strategies.
  • Possess solid organization and time management skills specifically relating to completion of appropriate follow through and status updates of affected parties. Concern for order and accuracy.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress, frequent interruptions environment.
  • Ability to successfully accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently of within a team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), specifically related to telephone etiquette, presentation and interview skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills, practicing, valuing and supporting service to both, internal and external customers such as employees, management temporary employment agencies personnel and background screening vendor. Work with agencies and hiring managers to create and maintain reliable candidate sources for the organization.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While working, the employee is standing, sitting, walking, talking and listening most of the time. The job also requires reaching objects with hands; stooping and bending to file and maintain orderliness; mobility to complete errands. This job also requires lifting objects up to 10 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal busy office environment. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
