Description:

The Human Resource and Payroll Administration, under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer will facilitate the timely payment of staff wages, assist with staff benefit enrollment, maintain personnel files, and implement/maintain upgrades to Human Resource and Payroll policies and software systems.

Requirements:

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Administer employee benefits program.
  • Educate employees on enrollment processes for insurance options, flexible spending accounts/health care savings plans, cafeteria plans.
  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and revision of human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintain human resources software system which supports employee training, personnel data and credential.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding.
  • Assist with workers compensation reports and audits.

PAYROLL

  • Ensure the accuracy of timesheets, compute wages, and ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Ensure leave balances are accurate.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Track time and effort of employees charged to multiple grants.
  • Coordinate and manage the procurement of office supplies

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Appropriately perform other activities not described above that are deemed appropriate by the Chief Operating Officer or Chief Financial Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Two to three years of related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential or human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL MATTERS:

  • Must hold all matters relating to patient care and employment data confidential.
  • Breach will lead to disciplinary action up to and including immediate dismissal.

THE EFFECT OF ERRORS:

  • Errors could expose the Center to liability, embarrassment, and loss of revenue.

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours minimum.
