Job Description
Allen Tharp, LLC is a food contractor located at Lackland Airforce Base and will assist the Human Resource department with new hire processing, answering telephones, filing, orientation, employee change forms and monitoring employee attendance. Works cohesively with Payroll Department and Project Managers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent internal/external customer service. Answers telephone, screens calls and visitors, responds to employee requests, questions and provides information to the general public. Performs departmental filing/purging, mail pick up and distribution.
- Assist with preparation of job postings, recruitment, hiring, including screening resumes, applications and setting up interviews.
- Assist with new hires and orientation. Creates new hire profile, changes an employees position code, correct miss punches/clock in/out times, generates daily reports and monitors employee attendance (preferred experience in Nova Time/Ascentis).
- Must have experience in processing payroll, managing workflow timely and accurately in accordance to payroll best practices.
- Record payroll data in ADP, verify all data and submit payroll. Initiate direct deposits, update employee tax status, benefits enrollment and employee position codes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills, including respect for confidentiality
- Multitasking ability with particular attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Must have clean background and driving record to obtain base pass
