Director, Human Resources
Your role:
The Human Resources Regional Business Partner drives and manages the human resources strategic direction and acts as a business partner supporting 10 to 15 plant locations in North America. This position partners with management to ensure all human resources needs are met. The Director, Human Resources will evaluate the status and productivity of human resources programs and recommend changes to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness. This role has the responsibility of being a business partner with the largest and most complex area of our business – Operations.

Your responsibilities:
- Work as the key HR business partner in support of the assigned region to transform the operation to be a clear competitive advantage in the marketplace focused on our customers and a desirable place to work for our employees.
- Develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues and providing recommendations to establish human resources objectives that are in line with business objectives.
- Lead special projects to drive, influence and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives that reflect the business strategy.
- Partner with managers by providing human resources advice and counsel in handling people decisions.
- Partner with client group to support the safety culture through return-to-work process management, safe environment, loss avoidance, and safety training.
- Responsible for overall management of Human Resource compliance programs, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, AAP, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues. May conduct difficult employee counseling sessions regarding EEO charges, ADA, performance, and termination.
- Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. Utilize talent management systems to support an inclusive and diverse culture
- Drive to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR service delivery.
- Direct union avoidance and labor relations strategies, contract negotiation, grievance resolution, contract interpretation and administration, and hourly workforce effectiveness programs by partnering with the L&E Counsel.
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- At least ten years of human resource management experience required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Solid labor relations experience.

- Demonstrated ability to leverage networks to implement HR best practices.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through on commitments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate diverse teams, collaborate and achieve results through strong influencing skills.
- Demonstrated experience with leading others, including performance management, coaching, and development within a production environment.
- Demonstrated track record in promoting an inclusive environment and seeking ways to integrate differences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Good to have:
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience using Workday
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

- Ability to travel 50%.
- Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, CO. This role can be 100 % remote. The successful candidate will be expected to commit to a periodic presence in the Denver HQ office, frequency can be discussed with hiring manager.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $123,903.56 - $165,256.37, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 20% Annual: Individual Target.
